Why are some LINARI fragrances stronger than others?
Each scented candle has its own specific fragrance intensity, which we will all perceive differently, and that is dependent on atmospheric conditions. The burning conditions - like the height of the flame and the burning time - or the combination of these conditions can increase the fragrance intensity.
What makes the LINARI room fragrances so special?
In the majority of commercially available room fragrances air fresheners are used to mask unpleasant odours, and these typically have very dominant notes. In comparison LINARI only uses exclusively high quality Eau de Parfum, which is normally only utilised in the cosmetic application area. LINARI fragrances distribute a discreet and sensually scented fragrance to the atmosphere.
Why does the wood of the design lid discolour?
The wooden lids may darken over time. This is a natural, irreversible process that emphasises the beauty of the material used. The speed of the darkening, in particular with the maple and zebrano wood, is dependent upon light intensively. This process can be slowed by not placing the scented candle in the direct sunlight. The darkening of wenge wood is a natural process that is not influenced by sunlight.
How are the LINARI Scented Candles best used?
After removing the cellophane wrapper and lifting the candle out of the box please read the safety instructions thoroughly. Remove the wooden lid and turn it upside down, place the candle on the lid to act as a coaster. If necessary, trim the wick in accordance with the safety instructions and carefully light the candle. Diffusion of the fragrance will increase as the wax melts. To extinguish the candle gently blow out the flame. Once the wax has cooled place the wooden lid back on the glass.
How to burn a LINARI Scented Candle with a cotton wick most effectively?
To allow the candle to burn down evenly ensure that the cotton wicks are always upright. The repositioning of the cotton wicks into the original upright position should be done after extinguishing the flame when the wax is still semi-solid. To avoid soot, flickering and high flames, keep the cotton wicks trimmed to 4-5 mm (1/6 inch) and re-trim before relighting. Keep the wax surface and the inside of the glass free of foreign matter. Never lean the cotton wicks against the glass. Avoid burning the candle entirely to the bottom of the glass. A minimum of 2 cm wax should remain to avert overheating. The candle should be used at least until the entire wax surface has melted. Thereafter it is best to extinguish the candle latest after an additional hour. A shorter burning time leads to the drowning of the cotton wicks the next time the candle is lit. The glass may become hot when candle is lit – beware of being burnt. To extinguish the candle snuff out the flame. Do not blow it out. Never use liquid to extinguish. Allow the wax to cool down before relighting, moving or handling.
What is the average burning time of LINARI Scented Candles?
The average burning time of 190 g/1.000 g LINARI scented candles is up to 45/110 hours for standard cotton wicks and up to 35 hours for ribbon wicks. The burning quality and the burning time can be decreased by usage with air currents, burning with an oversized flame and burning periods longer than 4 hours.
What safety measures must be adhered to when using LINARI Scented Candles?
Never lean the wicks against the glass. Avoid burning the candle entirely to the bottom of the glass. A minimum of 2cm wax should remain to avert overheating. A flame burning against the container may cause the glass to overheat and to suddenly crack. The candle should always be placed in an upright position on a heat resistant flat surface. Always keep the candle away from draughts, flammable materials and other sources of heat. Never leave the burning candle unattended. Always burn the candle in a well-ventilated room. Keep out of reach of children and pets. The glass may become hot when candle is lit – beware of being burnt. To extinguish the candle snuff out the flame. Do not blow it out. Never use liquid to extinguish. Allow the wax to cool down before relighting, moving or handling.
Why does a crater appear near the wick?
An inappropriate short burning time must be avoided as the wax surface cannot melt completely. The wax melting and burning only takes place near the wick and results in the appearance of a crater. Hence during the next longer usage the wick drowns in liquid wax.
How to handle pressure marks on velvet coated surfaces?
The velvet coating that LINARI uses is made from a special fabric that allows the fibres to reposition themselves automatically. To speed up this process, brush the velvet surface carefully with a soft-bristled brush. In case of persistent pressure marks lightly mist the surface with water beforehand.
